About Shulin

Shulin had always dreamt of becoming like one of the lawyers she saw on television – arguing cases in court, looking sharp in a suit and being a litigator. After getting called to the bar, she thought she would finally fulfil her childhood ambition. However, life threw a curveball at her and she embarked on another path, rather different from what she had envisioned, and has never looked back.

Today, Shulin is the founder of Aslant Legal, a specialist Legal executive search firm; a loving wife; and a mother of two young sons. She is passionate about effecting change in the legal industry, to better equip future generations of lawyers in navigating a constantly evolving landscape.

With over 12 years as a Legal Recruiter, Shulin has spoken with lawyers from all walks of life and counts herself fortunate for the opportunity to be privy to their personal stories. She is ever fascinated by how these trailblazers have charted out their careers, some choosing to leave the industry completely, while others have carved out a niche in their practice areas.
